Self-Publishing Cost FAQs
- How are your book layout and typesetting rates calculated?
Our primary packages are flat rate up to 80,000 words. For complex layout requirements or textbooks, rates are calculated per page, taking features, such as foot notes, end notes, clickable links, tables etc into consideration. So you only pay for the exact layout real estate you use.
- Is indexing included: No, indexing is not included. Indexing generally only applies to print books (electronic books have a search option). We are able to index your book in 2 situations.
- If you supply us with a concordance file, we then simply include your index.
- You create a list of terms you would like in the index, we will build the file for you.
- Are there any hidden international platform fees?
No. We build files to perfectly match Amazon KDP and IngramSpark specifications, meaning you won’t face surprise global upload charges or modification rejection penalties.
